Deborah...did not pressure us into any course of action and always considered our needs and desires first. At the same time, she gave us valuable advice about getting our home ready for show, and especially in understanding how the market works.

Deborah Lawson has been helping people buy and sell homes in the Madison area since 1984.


She has worked with Ron Restaino since he began the Company in 1989 and was one of the original nine Realtors that Ron hired.


Active in community affairs, Deborah was elected to two terms (1994-2000) on the Madison Board of Education, serving as vice-president; treasurer; and chair of the Board's long term planning and budget committees.


She has also served on the Dane County Housing Authority; was appointed as a member of the original Monona Terrace Committee which helped assure the Frank Lloyd Wright building became a reality; and has participated as a Dane County United Way Committee member. Deborah has also taught real estate courses at Madison Area Technical College.


Deborah is married to Jerry Lawson, a building and painting contractor. They have five children: Abigail, an attorney; Ben, an art teacher in New York City's Public Schools; Cora, a nurse; Tyler, a writer and university lecturer; and Drew, who works with Jerry in the construction business.


Deborah earned a BA from the University of Kentucky (1964) and an MS from the University of Wisconsin (1968).
